Ran out of AA batteries? Use the smaller AAA batteries with aluminum foil

AAA-batteries-foil-hack

A lot of electronic devices from wall clocks, kids’ toys, remote controls use mostly the AA size batteries and only a few uses the triple A – the smaller AAA ones. There is a big chance that if you need double As, you will not have any and you will have a bunch of triple A’s laying around.

A simple hack that you can do which happened to me lately is that my TV remote needs fresh batteries and guess what? I only have 1 AA battery left and have almost a dozen more triple A’s . So, what you can do is get a small piece of aluminum foil and either crumple it or fold it so that it will fit on the battery holder snugly with the smaller triple A. Place it  in between one of the ends of the battery and the connector. Just make sure it is snug enough that it will have a solid connection.

I need to put a little disclaimer here that I will only use this as a temporary fix and whenever I get the proper batteries, I will switch it out and this goes to whoever will use this hack.
