Use a belt as a shoulder strap to carry your groceries

If you are getting groceries for a family of four once a week, you should know how many bags of groceries you need to carry out and in to your car and from your car to your kitchen. I’ve seen another hack using big carabiners used as handles and they actually sell some plastic handles at the grocery just for the purpose of carrying the grocery bags.

We already know what most people do, we carry three bags in each hand, then have to go back and carry some more. For me, it takes 3 trips back and forth from the garage up to the kitchen. How about people that lives in a 3 or 4 story apartment that only have stair access? I cannot imagine going up and down 3 times. That is a work out.

One life hack that I’m using now is to use my belt and thread it through the  grocery bag handles. I can thread in 6-8 bags easy and carry it as a shoulder strap. I then have my 2 hands free to carry other stuff like jugs of milk and juice or boxes of canned soda. WIth this technique, I can easily cut the 3 trips into one, saving me time.

Lucky for me, I can use my belt without my pants falling down, so I use the belt that I have on me but you can always use an old belt or any belt that you are not using and toss them in the back of your SUV or trunk of your car.

So, try it out the next time you go grocery shopping…
