Today, we are going to check the new Wyze Thermostat. This thermostat is suppose to replace my 3 year old Nest E but the setup didn’t really go well as planned. One thing to note is that you will need to install an adapter if you don’t have the C-wire or the common wire which some setups like mine doesn’t have it.
When, installing the c-wire adapter, you will need to go to the evaporator part of your HVAC / Central AC unit and open it up so to have access to the control board. You will need to install some wiring. I’ll be showing you in this video the issues that I encountered when going this route.
Also, take note that the Nest E thermostat that I currently have doesn’t need the C-wire and I was able to install this without any issues.
