Fold your used grocery plastic bags to save space

I know you have a stash of used grocery or store plastic bags somewhere in your kitchen. I usually reuse them as trash bags in our bathrooms and kids bedroom. I bought one of those dispensers so that I can easily store and take them out when needed. But, I guess we have been shopping and doing groceries too much that the dispenser is already full and bags just hanging out on the sides.

One solution that I use so that I could stuff more on the dispenserĀ is to fold the bags in a way that it is compact and not easily unraveled. If you store the bags in your kitchen drawers, it will also look neat and organized.

Folding the bags doesn’t take that long and complicated and with practice, you can easily fold one in less than 10 secs.

  1. Lay the plastic bag in a flat surface like as shown in the picture.
  2. Fold it lengthwise twice.
  3. Starting from the bottom part, fold the bag to form a triangle (like how you fold a flag).
  4. Continue to do the triangle folding until you are near the end.
  5. Tuck in the handles on one of the folded areas.

So you will end up with a flat and triangular folded plastic bag that you can easily store and pull out if needed.
