This is where the 80’s meet the 21st century….If anybody of you still remember what a cassette tape looks like…then go ahead and read further, if not, well you can ask your parents if they still have some. Before the CDs, we have the cassette tapes and they come with a hard plastic case. If you have some stashed somewhere, you can repurpose them as a smart phone stand. Just open them up all the way as show in the pic and it is a perfect size for your smart phones.

I actually drilled the bottom of mine so that the charging cord can go through. Now, it becomes a charging stand. I just need to add a base on it so that it will not slide and also will raise it up a bit so that the cord will fit better. For, now it works good and I don’t have to pick up the phone every time when somebody calls or texts me.

If you have a smaller phone or even an Iphone 6 without a case, the 8mm tape case is smaller and is a perfect fit for the smaller phones. I think the 8mm tapes are still being sold today.
